Spring reflections. chicago 2013.

Phew, the past week has been a whirlwind.  Who knew 1 little post from A Practical Wedding would have such an awesome impact? Certainly not me and I couldn't be more excited! I've been rushing from meeting to meeting over the past few days, meeting with potential clients about both Rolling Elopements and regular old wedding photography.  Add in the culmination of my Allen Ginsberg projects with my 11th grade students (they are going to be SO GOOD), 1/2 marathon training and continuing to process and package photos from family sessions and you'll find one very busy, very tired, but very grateful Emily.   Last night, Ian convinced me to take a break with him and enjoy a little of the Chicago lakefront--sure he wanted to play frisbee too, but I insisted on keeping my Spring dress on and my camera (with that fantastic 50mm lens) around my neck.  Below are a few pictures from our small adventure to our beach a couple blocks from our apartment--families out for walks, dogs playing frisbee (Tasha is still....learning, much to Ian's chagrin), and one very brave woman partaking in the first swim of the season (photo below).    I'm working to enjoy Chicago for the beauty it can offer, even if it isn't always the most "natural" of settings.  Happy Spring all!
