family chicagoland christmas shoot.

I had the fun opportunity to meet up with Becky and her family in historic Long Grove about a week before Christmas.  Becky self-admitted that she hadn't completed the Christmas card for her family yet and begged for a last minute session--I was more than happy to oblige, especially when I found out that this family loves Pat Conroy (almost) as much as I do! Becky told me that she and her husband visit South Carolina often and always read Pat on the way down--how could I say no to photographing this energetic and fun-loving group?

We met in Long Grove on a very cold and very wet morning, but there was no complaining from this crew.  I was able to snap a few great shots of the kids before we got too wet.  Shooting in late Fall is tricky--it can either be the best days or the absolute worst and while the kids were super cooperative, it definitely made for a challenging afternoon.  Regardless, everyone was happy after about 20 minutes of shooting and headed to lunch at a warm tavern.  Thanks so much Dowd family!
