Grazyna and Jeffrey enjoy the following: dancing with their friends, laughing really hard, drinking wine out of the bottle, eating ice cream from an ice cream truck and being super kind. At least they did all of those things on their wedding day and it was just absolutely rock solid awesome.
This fantastic couple met in high school and cultivated their love for a lonnngg time before making it official a couple of weeks ago in Norwood Park.
They say that a long love, though, makes for a strong marriage, and I have no doubt that will be true of these two--they obviously hold the utmost trust and respect for one another, not to mention that giddy sort of love that makes you tear up as you watch them wander throughout their beautiful lawn party reception hand in hand. This wedding, too, had lots of little details that really made it special. Grazyna's mother offered a traditional Polish blessing over a gigantic loaf of rye bread after the First Look which was really a lovely way to start the day. While their ceremony was traditional, they made it personal by having Jeffery's father give the address and writing personalized notes and cards to every single attendant for their program (Grazyna told me she was doing this a few weeks prior to the wedding and I remember thinking "Sure...you think you'll do that, but you're not going ot have time"--and then I got to the ceremony and there they were--the sweetest personalized programs. For every single guest. Amazing).
After the ceremony we managed to chase down an ice cream truck for a refresher and then it was onto the reception at the Crippen House, the oldest home in Chicago (allegedly.....it DID seem pretty old). The reception boasted grilled burgers, corn on the cob and watermelon in a lovely garden BBQ them and then they cranked up the music. And these folks DANCED. For hours....it was totally amazing.
Congratulations Grazyna and Jeffrey! We are truly honored to rock out with you!
