Chicago proposal. Montrose Beach.

I finally got to shoot a proposal and it was AWESOME!  Shaun got in touch a couple weeks ago about proposing to his boyfriend, Nick, on their anniversary and we got it all scheduled and ready to go.  Shaun wanted to propose along the Lakefront path with the sunset light, but the Chicago weather gods weren't cooperating--we had a totally fogged in evening on Monday night, but it actually made the evening even better.  I helped Shaun find the location through a series of text messages and pictures I sent him, even going so far as to say "You've got to get him to face North--make sure you get to the top of the hill, be by the Aspen trees"--it was loads of fun! I also found myself getting a little emotional as I watched Shaun pop the question and hearing Nick, of course, saying YES! It was so fun to be part of this moment and to capture Nick and Shaun in their joyful giddiness post-proposal.  Thanks so much for such a great evening!
