Winter Running. Emily's Life.

This past weekend we were staying in Tyler State Park and it was Saturday, so it was a long run day for me, as I start training (or at least getting back into shape) for the Charleston Half Marathon that I’m running in January in South Carolina.  Michigan this time of year is icy and cold and usually I’m relegated to a treadmill, but not now—it’s 75 degrees in Texas!  Off I went for my 7 mile run and it was amazing.  I didn’t see another soul the entire run and, more importantly, it was silent and I was able to think.  I returned to the trailer sweaty and tired and a little sore, but feeling amazing about my running and my training.  A girl could get used to these sorts of temperatures pretty quickly!
