riviera maya, mexico destination wedding.

Danny and Sarah are a couple who just seem destined to be together.  They met when they were not even looking for one another---Sarah was in Chicago working on a theater show, Danny happened to be her glorified landlord during the time.  As luck would have it, it was only a matter of time before they began to see one another as more than just friends.  Dating for only a year, they both knew the other was "The One" and on a cool October night, Danny popped the question over champagne; Sarah, of course, said yes!

Sarah and Danny decided on a destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, about 20 minutes outside of Cancun.  They chose Azul Blue Hotel, a small resort that also was able to provide a private, oceanfront villa for the entire wedding party.  They invited only their closest friends and family members, the result was a small guest list of 22.  The small wedding, though, helped the event remain especially intimate--the couple was able to spend time with their guests at the pool during the day and enjoying the resort offerings in the evening.  The wedding day was a gorgeous and warm event, with the couple saying their vows just after 3pm in the afternoon. Following was a cocktail reception and full dinner, including a donkey who delivered ice cold beers.  The party went late into the night, centering around the private pool, and culminated as all the guests, including bride and groom (and this photographer!), jumped into the pool fully clothed at midnight.  Such a wonderful wedding for two wonderful people--congratulations Danny and Sarah
