I met Rob and Annie through Jenn, another client of mine whom I did a family session for earlier this Fall. Annie and Rob are recently engaged and were looking for a quick engagement session, which I was happy to provide for them. Annie and I emailed a lot to ensure we had all the details down--she wanted something downtown, with a more modern, urban feel. We planned for a Sunday afternoon and met at the Chicago Cultural Center. I've always wanted to do a session here and while they do not require photographers to have permits, they do, as we learned, often schedule impromptu concerts that are not posted on their website--blast, we couldn't shoot in the gorgeous main atrium, but we were able to capture a few shots on the stairs, in front of a really neat modern art installation and by the signature leaded glass of the building. From there we wandered down Michigan Avenue and ended up in the park across from Columbia University for a few more shots. All in all, this was a super fun session. Rob and Annie were up for any poses I offered to them and even played a little with the new Geronimo balloons. Thanks so much, Annie and Rob for a wonderful afternoon of exploring downtown Chicago!
