I'm going to admit something here, before I get too far into this post: This was not an easy session. It was actually one of the more challenging sessions I've shot recently. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, quite the opposite actually, it was a great challenge and forced me to be intentional both in my shooting and in my culling and editing. It was a hard session because 90% of it we shot indoors--the Michigan weather did NOT cooperate for us. All week leading up to the shoot, Mary Beth and I went back and forth about location and weather. I was convinced that the Michigan weather gods would shine upon us and we would be blessed with warm temperatures and grey skies. Mary Beth, not so much. And she ended up to be right--Sunday morning dawned at about 34 degrees, spitting rain and wind. Shooting inside was really the only option and thankfully Mary Beth had a house with some huge windows, lots of light and two very cooperative little boys. All in all we ended up having a very fun session with lots of time making Matthew and Jack laugh. Thanks so much, Mary Beth and Mike not only for a fun morning of photography, but also for forcing me to scratch those creative bones that haven't been lately!
